Notes: The defense attorney, Steven Kearney, was not in by 11:30 and ADA Watson informed the judge of this. Judge Constangy said he would wait a little longer.
At 11:50, the court recessed for 10 minutes. CMCW volunteers got ADA Watson’s attention and told him we had to leave. He said we could call him at the office to find out if the defense attorney showed up and the case was resolved.
The next morning, we called the DA’s office to get an update on Mark Saer’s case. ADA Watson said that the defense attorney arrived at 12:10pm. The defendant entered a plea of NOT GUILTY on the charge of LARCENY. The case will go to trial.
