Notes: ADA Riley came to us after about 10 minutes and introduced herself, stating she was new. She took our paper and said she would keep us informed. The other male ADA came to us after consulting with Asefa's Attorney to let us know what the intent was.
At 2:08, right after taking the bench, Judge Brown, looking over the court room, locked her gaze directly at us, smiled and nodded.
As part of the case, the witness described seeing the defendant coming out of a house in the Mountainbrook neighborhood. It was difficult to hear the entire testimony.
His defense attorney stated that this was Asefa's first offense and begged for leniency.
