Did ADA inform the judge that you were present on account of this offender?    N/A
Notes: ADA Leslie Stevens was exceptionally polite and helpful. She spoke with us both before the session began and after the continuation was granted. She also offered that we could call her with questions about the case.

The Defense Attorney told the judge that he had spoken to the head ADA for the Drug Team (Leslie’s boss) and that she had agreed to a continuance. He claimed that he was the defense attorney for the guy who sued John Beason, and that that case had taken up his time recently so that he was not prepared. Judge went along with this decision by the head of the Drug Team.

ADA Stevens told me that they were offering a deal of 14-17 months for the most serious charge, trafficking in cocaine, and would drop the other charges – which were not serious enough to get much jail time and which could get probation. Supposedly on July 29, Thedrick Hoyle will have to plead guilty or not guilty to that single charge.
